What is a solid state drive?

A solid state drive is a data storage device that contains no moving parts. SSDs are more resistant to physical shock, run silently, boot up time is faster but data cannot be recovered if the drive dies so please backup your data!

What payment options are available?

Parents can pay via Credit Card (incurs a 1.5% surcharge), Direct Deposit or zipMoney.

What instalment options do you have?

What is zipMoney?

zipMoney is the finance option available if you wish to pay your device off. There is no deposit required and the application process is all online. You get 12 months interest free with up to $2,000 credit. You will be charged a $99 account establishment fee and $6.00 a month whilst you have an outstanding balance. The interest rate is 19.9%. When you go through the portal, the weekly figure that we give you in the shopping cart is the repayments you will need to make to pay it off within the interest free period. Minimum payment is $40 per month or 3%, whatever is greater.

What do I need to apply for zipMoney?

You need to be an Australian resident, 18 years or over and have a job to apply. The things you need to have ready are:

  • Your personal and residential details
  • Your ID number, either Drivers License or Medicare Card
  • Internet Banking Details - zipMoney will securely connect to your bank to access a read-only copy of your bank statement
  • Your Debit Card or Account details to schedule flexible repayments

Why do I need to provide my bank login information for zipMoney?

The banking verification process allows zipMoney to securely confirm/verify your application in real time. The instant banking verification process is completely safe and secure. zipMoney does not see or store your credentials and receives ‘read only’ summary information regarding your recent transactions.

What is the alternative if I am not comfortable completing the bank login step for zipMoney?

If you are completing the application on a PC, there is an alternative upload option located just below the bank login step. You have the option to upload a copy of your bank statement which will allow you to proceed through to completion of the application. If you don’t wish to do this, you will need to return to the Edunet portal and choose an upfront payment method.

When will zipMoney start taking payments?

zipMoney won’t start debiting your account until after your device is delivered.

When will I receive my purchase?

Once we have placed your order, we will be able to give you an update on the timeframe for delivery.

Why are you delivering to the school?

The school wishes to image the boxes before parents receive them so that they are set up and ready to go once they are handed out to parents.

How do I log a warranty job?

Your first port of call is usually the school's IT department. The school technicians can assess the issues and log the warranty job on your behalf. If the device is no longer school based but still under warranty. Jobs can be logged directly with Edunet either via the warranty button on the front page or by calling our offices directly.

What is iBroker insurance?

iBroker Insurance is a licensed general insurance broker specialising in the provision of insurance products to cover laptops, netbooks and tablets used within the education sector of Australia. What do I do if my device gets damaged and I don’t have insurance

Edunet can still provide you with a quote to fix the device. However in many cases simple parts like screen replacements can cost in the vicinity of $200-$300

When I am ordering through the portal, what does it mean if an option is in green?

If you are on the options page of the portal and an item is highlighted green, it means that your school has selected this item as a mandatory option and you are required to purchase it as part of the device package you have selected.
